Introduction: Foundation & Philosophy
Prana Kriya Yoga harmonises and unites the flow of the physical movement (kriya) in our bodies with its energetic power helping you become aware of your creative potential. This form of yoga is one of the most effective means by which to achieve your goals and aspirations, material, emotional, spiritual and bring your actions in line with your mental and emotional state.
Module 1: Anatomy and Physiology
Gain a solid understanding of the structure and function of the human body. By understanding the body’s structure and function, you can guide students toward proper alignment, prevent injury by recognising limitations, adapt the practice to individual needs, and explain the physiological effects of the practice. This can help you build better classes, sequences and instructions. In terms of Kriya, this knowledge offers a scientific explanation of how the practices influence the mind and body, particularly how breathing techniques (pranayama) and movements affect the respiratory and nervous systems.
Module 2: The study of asanas and kriyas
This course offers comprehensive teachings on asanas and kriyas, focusing on a thorough study of techniques, including pranayama, bandha, mantra, mudras, and meditation. The training incorporates a holistic understanding of Kriya philosophy.
Module 3: Sacred Anatomy
Understanding sacred anatomy is essential for grasping the internal, energetic, and spiritual dimensions of Kriya practice. This knowledge is crucial for teachers, as it enables them to guide students through techniques safely and effectively. Kriyas reinforce and revitalize subtle currents of life energy (prana) in the spine and brain. By comprehending how Kriya techniques impact the body’s subtle and physical systems, teachers can offer safer guidance and better prepare students for advanced techniques. Overall, knowledge of sacred anatomy fosters a holistic understanding of this sacred practice.
Module 4: Foundation of Pranayama
Pranayama is a fundamental aspect of yoga that involves specific techniques for inhaling, holding, and exhaling through the nostrils to harmonize the body, mind, and spirit. Its objectives include enhancing physical vitality, achieving mental clarity, reducing stress, and promoting overall well-being. By practicing pranayama, individuals strengthen the connection between their body and mind. Pranayama helps to cleanse and balance the internal organs and facilitates the flow of prana (life force) through the nadis (energy channels). Pranayama is also part of the Kriya system, which encompasses techniques designed to rapidly advance spiritual development and lead practitioners toward the goal of self-realization.
Module 5: Introduction to Kriya Meditation
In this module, you will learn Kriya Meditation techniques that calm the body and mind, leading to deep inner stillness. It involves manipulating life energy to slow down the nervous system, quiet the senses, and open up higher states of consciousness. This meditation is one of the best remedies for improving concentration and memory as it fine-tunes the mind. It also affects your nervous system, which feeds your organs and renews you from the inside out. It is also highly effective for erasing depression, anxiety and stress, giving you greater self-awareness and self-respect.
Module 6: Teaching Methodology & Sequences of Kriyas
In this module, you will learn how to structure and sequence classes specifically for Prana Kriya Yoga. This includes combining breathwork, mudras, bandhas, asanas, and mantras in intentional ways to achieve specific outcomes. You will also focus on creating a supportive atmosphere, offering safe adjustments, and developing an authentic teaching presence. A key component of the program is a hands-on practicum, where students have the opportunity to practice teaching their peers and receive constructive feedback to refine their skills.

You will receive feedback from teachers and fellow students, delivered based upon the study mode, LIVE Online, In-Person or recorded. Certificate of Participation
You will receive a “Certificate of Participation” upon successful completion all course work and course hours. You will be permitted to teach 2 classes weekly on a volunteer basis and qualify as a “student teacher” with Yogiville Gurukul and Yoga Alliance Professionals UK
Teaching License
The Teaching License enables you to teach the discipline studied without restriction. To qualify for the Teaching License (after the Certificate of Participation), you must complete 3 months of student teaching experience, a minimum of one 60-minute weekly class
