How to balance spiritual and material life

Don’t judge yourself. Practice kindness, practice compassion, practice contentment.

How can we balance the materialistic life and spirituality? Don’t judge yourself. Practice kindness, practice compassion, practice contentment. If you are a materialistic person, you can be very spiritual as well. You can be a very spiritual person but materialistic same time. The same person can be materialistic and spiritual same time. Spirituality and materialism are parallel existences. It also depends on how you classify materialism. When your thoughts revolve around security, your thoughts revolve around accumulation, the feeling that you never have enough can be classified as materialism—the lack of contentment. But if you are spiritual, that doesn’t mean you stop working, growing, expanding, spending. Being spiritual is not being lazy. If you exist in this body, you are already materially manifested. You are a spiritual being having a material experience. So, why being materialistic is so terrible? Important is how you relate to materialism and spirituality and which controls you. So, be attentive to your senses, energy, thoughts, ideas, and how you feel within your own body and how you feel within yourself. Practice yoga and meditation, and you create the possibility to find balance in any aspect of your life.
