Background
My yoga journey started in 2001 when – with a mix of apprehension and curiosity – I first stepped inside an Iyengar yoga studio. I was instantly hooked on both the physical movement and stillness found in asana practice and – probably for the first time in my life – really understood what it meant to be present in the moment.
Then, in 2018 whilst on a quest to intensify my own practice, I discovered Himalayan Hatha Yoga and felt like I’d come home.
Himalayan Hatha Yoga is one of the forms of yoga founded and taught by Yogi Ashokananda. Based on traditional principles of yoga, HHY is a strong, yet supportive form of yoga, working through the entire body, cleansing and revitalising through special sequencing with a combination of subtle body exercise.
Having fallen in love with HHY, I found myself on my way to south India to carry out my teacher training with HHY founder Yogi Ashokananda.
My classes provide a supportive environment where you can develop your practice at your own pace whist at the same time having lots of fun.
